Sashastra Seema Bal Dirang Battalion tackles massive forest fire, saves over 500 houses, evacuates 1,000 people

On April 24th, 2025, the 30th Battalion of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) at Dirang swiftly responded to a call for help to combat a massive forest fire threatening the ADC Office and nearby areas. Approximately 250 SSB troops, equipped with firefighting gear, worked tirelessly for over six hours, successfully saving over 500 houses and evacuating nearly 1,000 residents.
