SC refers to larger bench question of parity between AYUSH and allopathic doctors

The Supreme Court is examining if doctors of Ayurveda, Unani, and homeopathy should have the same service conditions as allopathic doctors. A larger bench will now decide on retirement age and pay scales. This follows a divergence of opinions on treating practitioners equally. The court allowed states to temporarily extend AYUSH doctors' service up to the allopathic retirement age.
