SC refuses to advance date of hearing on pleas on J&K statehood
The Supreme Court declined to expedite the hearing on pleas for Jammu and Kashmir's statehood restoration, reaffirming the scheduled date of October 10. A bench led by Chief Justice B R Gavai had previously sought the Centre's response on the matter.
