SEBI mandates internal audit of all MII activities

SEBI has revised guidelines for internal audits at stock exchanges, depositories, and clearing corporations. MIIs must conduct an annual audit by an independent firm and have a policy for appointing internal auditors approved by the audit committee. Executive directors are barred from the audit committee. Internal auditors must report critical issues every six months.
