Smriti Mandhana smashes maiden T20I century in series opener against England

Smriti Mandhana, India's stand-in captain, scored her first T20I century against England at Trent Bridge. She reached the milestone in 51 balls with 14 fours and 3 sixes. Harmanpreet Kaur was rested, so Mandhana led the team. Shafali Verma and Sneh Rana returned to the T20I team in this match. Several new players debuted as well.
