Social media platforms must detect, label AI-generated content under new rules

India has issued a new order for social media platforms. All AI-generated content must now be clearly labeled. These labels and their embedded identifiers cannot be removed. Companies must use tools to detect and stop illegal or deceptive AI content. Users will also receive warnings about AI misuse. These warnings will be sent every three months.
