East Central High School Principal Tom Black was elected President of the IHSAA Board of Directors for 2025-26. Black has been serving as IHSAA board vice president during the current school year. Also at Monday’s meeting, the IHSAA Board conducted its annual review of the Member School By-Laws, and formally adopted changes to Rule 19 when it comes to first-time transfers, added Girls Flag Football to its Emerging Sport Process, and a proposal allowing two schools to enter into co-op arrangements failed to receive enough support.
