Tamil Nadu CM Stalin announces slew of sops for state government employees

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin announced significant welfare measures for state government employees and teachers, including a substantial increase in the marriage advance to Rs 5 lakh. Additionally, a 2% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) will be implemented from April 1, 2025, benefiting approximately 16 lakh individuals and costing the state Rs 1,252 crore annually.
