China birthrate: China plans to give cash to families to encourage childbirth. Each child will get 3,600 yuan yearly until age three, starting 2025. This is due to China's declining population. Birth rates have fallen despite ending the one-child policy. The government hopes this incentive will boost the birthrate. Local governments already offer similar subsidies.
