Tirumala dupatta scam: The Tirumala temple is embroiled in a new controversy over dupattas. Investigations reveal a decade-long alleged fraud where fake polyester dupattas were supplied as pure mulberry silk. This scam involves a vendor who supplied cloth worth nearly Rs 55 crore. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has referred the matter to the Anti-Corruption Bureau for a full investigation.
