UK-India investment treaty lets companies sue government, sources say
India and the UK are set to include an Investor-State Dispute Settlement (ISDS) mechanism in their upcoming investment treaty, sources told Reuters. This provision allows companies to sue either government if policy changes are seen to harm their investments or profits.
