The discovery comes during a broader military operation against Hamas, following the 7 October attack that killed 1,200 people in Israel. The IDF also reported killing two Mujahideen fighters involved in the attack. As fighting continues and ceasefires collapse, over 54,000 Palestinians have been killed, according to Gaza health authorities. Nearly 90% of Gazas population is now displaced.
