In volatile times, longer the checklist, better the end result? 5 small-caps from different sectors with upside potential of up to 33%

Around the middle of 2024, there were clear signs that policymakers and the regulator were worried about too much money flowing into mid- and small-cap stocks. Several measures were taken to cut the flow: From pruning the number of stocks accepted as margin in the F&O segment to reducing those where MTF was available. The result: There was a cooling off in the small-cap segment for over one-and-a-half years. Now, except in one instance where it lasted longer, such consolidation and cooling off normally get over in two years.
