UDINs helped prevent potential frauds of Rs 70,000-80,000 cr: ICAI

Since its inception in 2019, the Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) has emerged as a game changer for chartered accountants, helping them to prevent potential financial frauds estimated at Rs 70,000 to Rs 80,000 crore. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has successfully generated over 10 crore UDINs, greatly improving the integrity of document verification.
